The Reign of FM Radio
The Reign on FM Radio One of the most impressive phenomenons of digital communications has been the survival of the radio. What I find interesting about the radio is not only how it was created, but the way that it has developed and aided in the spread of information throughout the world. It has also helped in the spread of music. According to Heidi D. Blossom, the first radio transmission came on December 24, 1906 from Ocean Bluff Brant Rock, Massachusetts. Additionally, the text explains how the Great Depression was one of the reasons why radio was so successful is because there was no competition until television. In short, I believe that radio is one of the real marvels of digital technology because of the way it has impacted the world, as well as how it has maintained it's popularity in most communities.
